WealthWise is built around five powerful units, each of which is designed to prepare students for lifelong financial success. From understanding the basics of money to setting goals and budgets to learning about credit, banking, and entrepreneurship, every step leads naturally into the next. Students don’t just memorize terms—they connect concepts between lessons, building a bigger picture of financial independence. The units also highlight personal growth, encouraging students to practice responsibility and self-awareness. The first major lesson students learn is the connections between education and lifetime earnings. Students explore a wide variety of jobs and professions while learning the differences between the two and the early academic commitments necessary to achieve career goals. Building on the lessons learned about real-world careers, students explore available classroom job opportunities by examining job postings and the necessary duties and skills for success. The initial activities encourage students to self-reflect and identify areas for improvement. They use their new awareness to apply for a class job.
