Calculating A Brighter Future

REACH Beyond Money, Build A Blueprint for Life

Each student will receive an envelope folder to store their materials and be ready for each lesson!

Financial Literacy Meets Socio-Emotional Learning

At REACH, we know that financial literacy is about more than dollars and cents—it’s about building the mindset and habits that shape a successful life. That’s why Wealthwise is intentionally designed to integrate social and emotional learning (SEL) into every lesson.

Through interactive activities and real-world applications, students practice the five core SEL competencies:

  • Self-Awareness – Students reflect on their values, strengths, and goals as they explore financial decision-making.

  • Self-Management – Creating budgets and savings plans teaches discipline, focus, and resilience.

  • Responsible Decision-Making – Lessons encourage students to weigh options, consider consequences, and make informed choices.

  • Social Awareness – Students learn to recognize resources and opportunities within their families and communities.

  • Relationship Skills – Group activities in the Youth Crew model build communication, collaboration, and leadership.

By blending finance with SEL, Wealthwise equips students with not only knowledge but also the confidence, empathy, and critical thinking skills they’ll use for the rest of their lives. It’s a curriculum that prepares the whole child—head and heart—for a brighter future.
