Series 3.3a - Effectively Adapting Complex Curriculum to Meet, but Not Compromise, Students Learning Needs USING AN Action Research PROJECT

When school leaders ask teachers to navigate the use of grade-level materials with students who are several instructional years behind, teachers often struggle with decisions about curriculum adaption. Providing teachers an opportunity to study the curriculum they use for instruction enables deep reflection and intentional decision-making as it relates to adapting instructional material.  This action research project is intended to assist school leaders and teachers the opportunity to think deeply about the curriculum materials used for instruction and to be certain that the material is appropriately aligned to both the learning standards and students’ needs.
